About the event
"Yogas chitta vritti nirodhah". This Sanskrit phrase translates to, “Yoga is the calming of mental fluctuations or storms of the mind.”. Yoga teachers know best of all how the world can ask too much of us; that's why Livia Jenvey designed this pop-up class to specifically address and provide stress-reduction tools, tips, techniques, and poses.
In small amounts, stress can be helpful to drive us toward completing our tasks and propelling us to action. However, without managing our stress in healthy or meaningful ways it can affect the function of our minds and bodies. If you've experienced restless sleep, stomach upset, anxiety, physical tension in your back, jaw, or neck, and or feelings of burn-out then you may be experiencing high amounts of unmanaged stress!
